When you, the customer, agree to purchase FixCleaner.com software, we may collect a limited amount of personally identifying information. This information includes your name, address, and email address and is necessary to record and fulfill the minimum requirements of a business transaction. If and when we use a payment processing merchant, we take pains to ensure that the same security measures are in place regarding the transaction of data with this merchant. We never knowingly collect personal data from any person or persons under the age of eighteen.
We do not knowingly collect or use information that is personally identifiable of any person who is a minor without first obtaining explicit permission from a parent concerning the collection or use of said data. We will, however, obtain data from a person who is a minor if and only if that data is stored temporarily and in a form that is not retrievable and if that data is in direct response to a request by said minor or to request the name of a parent, made for the sole purposes of obtaining consent from that parent for the collection of personally identifiable information about a minor. If, under the auspices of a parent's expressed permission, we collect personally identifiable information about a minor, a parent may obtain any and all information that his/her child has provided to us and may request that we delete that information and/or desist from obtaining further information by contacting us at support@FixCleaner.com.
Cookies
A cookie is defined as a data string or string of information that is stored on your (the customer's) computer automatically when you access our servers. FixCleaner.com uses cookies (so defined) in order to provide our customers and affiliates with faster service, to deter Denial of Service (DoS) attacks on our systems, to deter/prevent fraudulent transactions and to facilitate the distribution of proper sales credit to our partners. Every cookie that FixCleaner assigns to a system that accesses our servers is non-unique and non-identifiable. Hence, all of FixCleaner.com's cookies are describable as secure and non-invasive by these criteria:
- The cookies are of a limited duration
- The cookies are less than 5KB in length
- The cookies are only visible to FixCleaner.com
- The cookies are devoid of any personally identifying information
- The cookies are not unique to a given computer
FixCleaner uses cookies to track affiliates, not customers. This tracking allows FixCleaner to properly assign payment to affiliates for their sales and for tracing activities directly related to their affiliated relationship with us.
Security
To protect personally identifying information, we store all transaction records in limited-access servers, accessable ontly through encrypted means. We do this to protect the security of personal data as well as that of the servers themselves. Once gathered, we retain personally identifying information only long enough to complete a purchase, to deter fraud, to provide customer service, and/or to maintain your account with us. If one or more of these conditions is not applicable, we delete the personally identifying information.
How Information Is Used When Collected
We may use information in the following ways:
- To enable us to process, validate and verify purchases.
- To register you as a customer of FixCleaner. This process facilitates our opening and maintaining a customer support account on your behalf.
- To send email notifications about existing products or new products and services. Emails are also sent to notify you of special offers when they are issued, and to contact you to confirm of verify (if needed) the accuracy of provided information.
- To obtain your feedback in such a way as to help enhance existing features or provide additional products and services.
We may disclose and use personally identifying information in special circumstances when doing so is necessary to enforce our service, or our agreements. For instance, we may invoke this disclosure if doing so would help us protect our intellectual property rights. We may also disclose or use your personal information if and when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires us to do so. To this end, we do not sell or distribute any personally identifying information to third parties for advertising purposes or outside the bounds outlined in this policy statement.

Opting Out of Email Notifications
Because we may occasionally send out to our customers unsolicited information by email, customers retain the option to discontinue or opt out of said emails. These emails are those that promote or advertise our products and services. If you wish to discontinue the receiving of these emails, you may at any time follow the unsubscribe link contained within the body of the email or unsubscribe as directed at http://www.fixcleaner.com/unsubscribe.php. When you unsubscribe, you acknowledge that you will not receive any future emails designed to promote products and services. You further acknowledge that you will continue to receive email notifications that communicate information regarding products and/or services that you have already purchased and transactions that you have already agreed to. If you do not wish to receive any form of communication by email, including those regarding product and service purchases and transactions, you may do so by contacting us at support@FixCleaner.com.
What Information FixCleaner Collects
Neither FixCleaner nor FixCleaner.com collects any personally identifying information from your computer. Upon un-installation, FixCleaner does not leave any active or executable data on your computer. What is left is an inert, small log file, deposited in an accessible directory on your hard drive. This log details the items detected and removed by FixCleaner. It is left as a courtesy to our customers and can be easily deleted. If retained, it can be used as a future reference by support technicians, regardless of whether or not they are associated with FixCleaner/FixCleaner.com.
Updates
Once installed, your copy of FixCleaner will routinely check with our server to receive updates to its threat database. The only data value transmitted to the server at this time is the current version of software installed on your PC. This updating process can be moderated and/or disabled via the settings dialog in the application. By default, the updates are downloaded only after a notification confirming that an update is available.
